El Forastero is someone who is or comes from another place, the English word is “The Foreign”. This phrase was typically used in the old West among the Spanish speaking, to refer to cowboys and people coming from away.
OUR STORY
In 2006, The Davila family had the opportunity of opening their first Mexican restaurant in the Sacramento area.
The three brothers were born in San Antonio del Mezquite, San Luis Potosi, Mexico. For many years, they have family-owned grocery stores in Mexico, so they know what it takes to keep a customer and know how to bring new ones.
The Davila brothers immigrated to the United States in 1999; before El Forastero, they worked for other Mexican restaurants, and they learned to cook and prepare delicious plates, with the background experience in customer service decided to start their chain of restaurants.
Thanks to his customers and friends, today el Forastero is present in ten locations around the Sacramento, Stockton, and Modesto areas. The Familia Davila is an example of hard work and persistence.
